Appointments, Fees and Medical Aid Information
Please ensure that you have registered your pregnancy with your medical aid before attending your appointment with us. This is to avoid claims being paid from the incorrect benefits.
Any and all authorizations for your visit at the practice needs to be forwandered to the practice by email no later than two weeks before you visit.
Your medical aid only gives a limited numbers of antenatal visits. The onus is on you to keep track of your benefits.
Once all antenatal visits are used, R 950 is payable upfront for all follow up visits. Please note the following scans we charge for:
5106: Obstetric ultrasound before 10 weeks gestational age
3615: Routine obstetrics ultrasounds at 10 to 20 weeks gestational age
3617: Routine obstetrics ultrasounds at 20 t 24 weeks
The above scans are routine scans which the practice does not motivate for.
If medical aid does not cover a scan for any reason the account will be payable by the patient in their private capacity. All accounts are to be fully settled before a new consultation can take place.
You will receive pictures of your scans on your first three visits thereafter pictures are available to you at an additional cost.
The practice does not allow for arrangements with these fees. Fees are paid before the consultation takes place.
All accounts need to be paid in full before a follow up appointment can be attended.
